Two Injured in Jacksonville Wrong Way Crash

Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) switchboards lit up on a recent Monday morning. Police responding to the scene reported that the 28 year old driver of a Honda Civic crashed head on with another Honda Civic. The accident happened on Interstate 295 near the Interstate 95 interchange. The other driver involved is a 69 year old St. Johns County man.

Both drivers involved in the accident were taken to UF Health Jacksonville. The drivers are both being treated for critical injuries. At the time of this writing, an investigation into the cause of the accident is still on-going. The FHP hasn’t charged the 28 year old Jacksonville man who drove the wrong way on the freeway with a crime yet.
